PPC

Pay-Per-Click Advertising, a Search Engine Marketing technique consisting of placing advertisements on search engines and other content sites where the advertiser would pay each time the ad is clicked on (see SEM).

Pay-per-click Advertising Tip

Direct Ads or Pay-per-click advertising can be very effective as a way to market your positions because the audience exposed to your ad is narrowly defined, therefore your money is spent on highly targeted demographics. You can display jobs or other recruitment ads targeted to a particular job function, industry, company size, seniority, location, and so on, and only pay if your ad is clicked.

Facebook Tip

Place direct PPC ads on FaceBook and target only people from specific company size, job function, industry, seniority and/or geography.

RECRUITING VIA PAY PER CLICK ON LINKEDIN

Many recruiters don't realize that they can display jobs or other recruitment ads to a very targeted audience on LinkedIn. Its "Direct Ads" system lets you target by job function, industry, company size, seniority, location, etc., and only pay if your ad is clicked on. For example, your ad could appear only to accountants in the Atlanta area at manager or director level with software firms larger than 1000 employees.
