Who is Russ Moon?

Russ brings over a decade of recruiting/sourcing/research and consulting experience honed as a seasoned practitioner, leader and student-master. Russ draws from a broad range of experience serving as a sourcer on Centralized Research Teams at MeadWestvaco, KPMG LLP, Wachovia and Wachovia –  A Wells Fargo Company.  Additionally Russ has consulted with clients ranging from boutique firms all the way up to the Fortune 5.

How Did Russ Moon Learn what he knows?

Russ honed his skills through a combination of intensive formal training which has included extensive training through AIRS where he holds every certification offered including the Certified Internet Recruiter CIR, Advanced Certified Internet Recruiter ACIR, Certified Diversity Recruiter CDR and Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter CSSR. 

After establishing a solid foundation of knowledge Russ looked for mentors to accelerate his learning….which led him to identify Shally Steckerl  as the person he hoped could lead his learning to the next level. Russ served as an apprentice to Shally for a one year period during which time he had the opportunity to access Shally and undergo extensive training not available to the general public at the time on a broad scope. 

What’s Next for Russ Moon

Russ works from a dedicated Research Studio located in the downtown of Richmond, Virginia offering short term Sourcing/Consulting support (2-12 wk assignments)  All the networks, computers, a very deep set of advanced technological tools and a literal semi-circle of monitors modeled after Shally’s “cockpit” as he called it at the time are located at the “The Hive”.

2010

Russ intensified his mental, physical and professional training in Q4 of 2009 to slingshot into 2010. He is revisiting the most basic fundamentals and rebuilding himself as a sourcer/researcher by learning each nuance of the process at a deeper level and then applying it to practical assignments to increase his ability to deliver the results he is known for.  The team of mentors supporting Russ is world class and so will the results that come from this intensive retooling. It’s an exciting journey I’ll share through my blog.
