Advanced Twitter recruiting tips in advance of Thursday's webinar

If you're trying to figure out how to get the most out of Twitter, three Mashable articles by Ben Parr are worth a look:

1. Getting the most out of Twitter hashtags is a very useful post/mini-tutorial. If you're trying to track tweets from a hashtag in real-time, Ben recommends Monitter and Twitterfall (in this category, Shally mentioned those as well as TweetDeck in last month's Beginning Twitter for Recruiters webinar, now on DVD -- they're also in our handy new Twitter GuruGuide, the successor to our popular cheatsheet series).

2. 15 Fascinating Ways to Track Twitter Trends are annotated, resulting in a solid post, and you'll exceed 20 ways if you read the comments under the post.

3.  Ben did the same treatment with 5 Terrific Twitter Research Tools with the useful comments below the post expanding the list severalfold.

P.S. If you're in recruiting, sourcing or recruitment marketing and really want to learn to use Twitter the way Shally does it, register for his Advanced Twitter webinar this Thursday at 1pm US EDT where he brings it all together.

I like how you've synthesized

I like how you've synthesized how to use Twitter with all the various apps out there. Not only is it a task explaining to the mainstream how to use Twitter, but explaining how to use it for recruiting purposes is even more complex, and you've done a great job, IMHO.

Again, there is no one magic bullet when it comes to sourcing/recruiting and Web 2.0 technologies.Take advantage of the power to interact with people in such a dynamic way, be open to lots of two-way, transparent communication, be yourself (in a professional way), watch your garden grow and reap the fruits of your labor-that's the true beauty of Web 2.0 technologies!
