Glenn Gutmacher
Glenn Gutmacher created one of the world's first 100% web-based e-sourcing courses in 1997, which continues today as Recruiting-Online.com. He started in this space by founding greater Boston's first regional career site, JobSmart, in 1996 for a major newspaper chain's portal, TownOnline.com.
Today, as Vice President of Arbita ACES (Arbita Consulting and Educational Services, formerly JobMachine), Glenn is in charge of our Recruitment Development services including the creation of content, development of new curriculum and products, and conducting online events. Glenn is an often-requested speaker on Internet sourcing topics at leading recruiting conferences and associations.
Before becoming a partner at JobMachine, Glenn was a lead Internet researcher/sourcer at Microsoft from mid-2005 until late 2008, focusing on competitive intelligence and proactive sourcing internationally. Previously at Getronics North America (2003-05), he contributed meaningfully to two finalist nominations in ERE's 2005 Excellence Awards.
With Recruiting-Online.com, Glenn has educated recruiters and sourcers from hundreds of corporations from the Fortune 500 and major search firms to individual contractors. He was the official Internet recruiting certification instructor in 2000 for SHRM's Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA), in 2001 for the Boston Herald's Jobfind.com and in 2002 for the Boston Globe's BostonWorks.
Glenn writes the highly-regarded blog, Advanced Online Recruiting Techniques. He is a 1987 graduate of Yale University.
