Why We're Attending SourceCon 2010 and why you need to register by this Friday

If you're a sourcer or a recruiter who's always got an eye out for talent pipeline building techniques, you know that the industry provides very few dedicated conferences to learning the latest world-class sourcing methods and best practices. (You only seem to get bits and pieces at regular recruiting events.)
One event that we feared had gone away has its mojo back -- SourceCon is now part of ERE. We have supported it in the beginning, and we're excited to be participating and bringing new components into it this year to make it the must-attend sourcing event of 2010.
2 DAYS, DOZENS OF PRACTITIONERS, LUMINARIES + ARBITA SOURCING LAB
We advised ERE on a who's who list of online, phone and social sourcing experts to present at SourceCon 2010. This is a rare chance to see these people open their vaults of secrets for you in presentation and workshop formats with plenty of interaction. Besides us, you'll meet and learn from:
- Glen Cathey
- Sheila Greco
- Eric Jaquith
- Marvin Smith
- Jim Stroud
- Russ Moon
- John Turnberg
- and more (see the full list of speakers).
Major sourcing orgs like Intuit, Microsoft, etc., and the collected wisdom from all the companies (corporate and third-party staffing) that we advise will be at your disposal.
But it's more than that: For both full days of the conference, we will run the complimentary Arbita Sourcing Lab. For the first time, Glenn and I, along with many of the world's top CyberSleuths, will be available on a rotating basis in a dedicated room with wireless Internet access, covering specific sourcing topics (schedule to be posted) and -- from literally right over your shoulder -- showing you additional or faster ways to build pipelines for your toughest reqs. No vendor pitches; just get your nagging sourcing questions answered between sessions (or during), even in the hours before the day's official program starts!
WHEN, WHERE, AND WHAT'S THE ROI?
It's going to be beautiful in San Diego on March 14-15. When you throw in the after-hours networking with your peers, the Grand Master Sourcing Challenge, and the option to stay for the rest of the ERE annual conference (see P.S. below), you can justify the ROI. If you register by this Friday (1/29), you'll get the early bird rate of just $795. (Airfares are still amazing -- it was under $350 RT for my non-stops to/from Boston on JetBlue, and I didn't even go through one of those deal sites, so I imagine you can do even better.)
This event is all about quality learning, for whatever sourcing level you're at. Yes, you'll actually come back with more sourcing work done than you ever have at a conference -- with methods and tools you can use forever after. How's that for impressing the bosses with ROI? You might even win one of the two laptops that Arbita will give away to Lab participants (one per day) but bring your computer, anyway: You'll be downloading resumes, lists and leads in ways you never have before and you'll also want to load it with all your colleagues' recommended sourcing and productivity tools!
P.S. Make sure to register by this Friday to take advantage of the special early bird rate. And to sweeten the pot further, there are still a few discount codes hidden on the website, so if you are quick enough to find them and solve the clue, you can save an additional 25%!
